Enterprise Systems (Pvt) Ltd. won the ‘Enabling Sri Lanka Tourism 2.0 and Beyond’ award under the ‘Optimise Cost Management’ category at a colourful event held at The Kingsbury last week. The company’s Travel Agency Management Software (TAMS) system overcame stiff competition from several larger and more reputed IT/Software companies in Sri Lanka to emerge victorious. The award was received by Amila Tennakoon, CEO and Founder of Enterprise Systems amidst a large gathering that included some of Sri Lanka’s top IT and travel industry professionals.
TAMS is a tried and proven system which was fully conceptualised, designed and developed by Enterprise Systems to enable travel agencies manage information and processes in a more effective and efficient manner. The system enables multi user collaboration, faster and more effective communication while improving the quality of work, helping the implementation of workflows and MIS reporting while assisting in the overall operations and finance management of travel agencies. This amalgamation of information and streamlining of processes offers travel agencies a significant reduction in costs.

‘Enabling Sri Lanka Tourism 2.0 and Beyond’ was an initiative organised by the American Chamber of Commerce in Sri Lanka (AMCHAM) together with the Sri Lanka Association for Software Services Companies (SLASSCOM,) in partnership with several other bodies representing the tourism industry of Sri Lanka. The organisers looked for the most innovative and compelling IT solutions that will help enable the Sri Lankan Tourism Industry reach its ambitious targets as well as leap frog in becoming the destination of choice for travellers from around the world. Over 40 applicants representing Sri Lanka’s best IT/software companies took part in the competition which was held under 4 different categories.
