Appointment with Death

An American widow dies by poisoned injection among the ancient cliffs of Petra, leaving Hercule Poirot with just 24 hours to identify her killer. A chance remark overheard in Jerusalem—"she's got to be killed"—suddenly takes on sinister meaning when the detestable Mrs Boynton is found dead, marked only by a tiny puncture wound on her wrist.
