Experience:

Your tour begins at 08:30 hrs with a hotel pickup in Dambulla by your chauffeur guide.

Your first stop, around 08:45 hrs, is the Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This majestic rock temple complex is home to over 150 stunning Buddha statues and intricate murals that date back centuries. Explore five cave sanctuaries filled with spiritual serenity and vibrant historical art.

By 10:00 hrs, proceed to the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, the iconic rock citadel of King Kassapa. Rising 200 meters above the jungle, this UNESCO-listed site boasts panoramic views, ancient frescoes, landscaped gardens, and massive lion-paw carvings. The climb may be challenging, but the sights are unforgettable.

At 12:30 hrs, continue to a nearby village in Sigiriya for an immersive village experience. Ride an oxen cart through rural paths, glide across a peaceful lake on a catamaran, and walk among golden paddy fields. Learn to cook traditional Sri Lankan food and enjoy a delicious home-cooked lunch served on lotus leaves in a rustic village setting.

After lunch, at 14:00 hrs, head to Minneriya National Park for an exciting jeep safari. Famous for its elephant gatherings, the park also shelters monkeys, deer, crocodiles, and a variety of birdlife. Enjoy the wild beauty of the park on a guided safari until around 18:00 hrs.

Your memorable day ends with a return to your Dambulla hotel by approximately 19:00 hrs.
